| Steve Tilston Born in Liverpool and raised in the Midlands, Steve has been quietly ploughing his own artistic furrow, turning out quality albums since the early 70s; again it has born fruit with the masterful new album. In the past he has toured as guitarist with Ballet Rambert, as a member of Ship of Fools, with John Renbourn and more recently with WAZ! He is a celebrated artist both in Britain and abroad, winning accolades in Europe, Australia and the USA, where "Here's to Tom Paine," has been chosen as the theme song for the Tom Paine society of America. His songs have been recorded by Fairport Convention, Dolores Keane, The House Band, Peter Bellamy, North Cregg, Bob Fox and many more fine artists. Steve is one of the most engaging performers on the scene today. "...that very rare combination of singer, songwriter and guitarist who actually excels in all departments..." (Folk Roots magazine) . Superb performance at Aberdare Music Club, 5th March 2003. Website: http://www.steve-tilston.co.uk

Claude Bourbon Born in France in the early 60's, Claude grew up in Switzerland. He started to play the guitar at the age of 15 when he heard an instrumental version of "The house of the Rising Sun" coming through the neighbour's garage. He then studied classical guitar for a while but soon realised that his feeling was more for improvisation than written music; "as the music is a tool to express yourself...". The opportunity to join a travelling band came in 1984, playing songs by Bob Dylan / Hendrix / Kinks / Muddy Waters all over Europe. In 1990 Claude moved to live in the south of France and started to play on his own writing songs and then released his first CD "Des jours gris" (Grey Days). After five years of playing in many venues, and having played with top musicians like saxophonist Steve Grossman (Miles Davis band) and drummer Charly Morgan (the drummer for Elton John and Gary Moore), he moved to the east of France. Claude first played in England in February 1998 and move over permanently at the end of 1999. Since then, Claude has released three CDs, "Bourbon Street", "Live at The Wedgewood Rooms" and the famous "Stop Breaking Down." Stop la déprime... which has frequent airplay on the RTBF1 (Belgium Radio). Website: http://www.claudebourbon.com

Ron Trueman-Border Ron Trueman Border has gained an enviable reputation as one of the folk scene's most popular singer/songwriter's. Much of his repertoire has been covered by performers such as, George Wilson and Les Elvin, all of whom are equally praiseworthy when it comes to performing Ron's songs. Perhaps it is the fact that he writes totally accessible choruses so enthusiastically received by his audience that everyone feels an empathy with the lyrics. Not only is he a truly gifted writer, Ron is a raconteur and multi-instrumentalist able to convey a sense of fun one minute and sheer emotion the next. |

The Shelleys An excellent rock-folk band based in South Wales featuring the superb songwriting talents of Jon Airdrie. "The band themselves create wonderfully harmonic backdrops for the songs
and, with the addition of the multitudinous instrumentation of 'Jerry
The Flute' and a variety of stringed things from Jon, create a sound
that is both eclectic and accessible. A band that enjoy themselves
live, crowd-pleasers and true artists" Website: http://www.theshelleys.net |
